The tumble dryer is a continuous operation equipment that dries the liquid-phase material or strip-shaped material attached to the outer wall of the cylinder by means of heat conduction through the rotating cylinder. The material liquid that needs to be dried flows into the receiving tank of the tumble dryer from the high-level tank. Driven by the rotating device, the drying drum rotates at a specified speed. The material is formed by the cloth film device on the wall surface of the drum. The heating medium is continuously fed into the cylinder to heat the cylinder body, and the moisture of the material film is vaporized by heat transfer from the cylinder wall. in the storage tank for packaging. Evaporate to remove moisture, depending on its nature, it can be introduced into the corresponding treatment device through a sealed cover; generally, water vapor can be directly released into the atmosphere from the exhaust pipe on the top of the cover.

Features of Tumble dryer:

1. The drying rate is high. The heat transfer and heat transfer process of the wet material film on the cylinder wall is from the inside to the outside, the direction is the same, and the humidity gradient is large, so that the surface of the material film maintains a high evaporation intensity, generally up to 30~70kgH2O/㎡h.
2. High thermal efficiency. In addition to the heat supplied in the cylinder, less heat radiation and heat loss from the end cover of the cylinder, most of the heat is used for the vaporization of moisture, and the thermal efficiency is 70% to 8%.
3. The drying quality of the product is stable. The heating mode of the drum is easy to control, and the temperature in the drum and the heat transfer rate of the partition wall can be kept relatively stable, so that the material film can be dried in a stable heat transfer state, and the quality of the product is guaranteed.
4. Wide range of application. The use of tumble drying liquid-related materials must have fluidity, adhesion and thermal stability.
5. The production capacity of a single machine is limited by the size of the cylinder. Generally, the drying area of ​​the tumble dryer should not be too large. The drying area of ​​a single cylinder rarely exceeds 12 square meters. The equipment of uniform specifications, its ability to handle the liquid is also affected by the properties of the liquid. The influence of factors such as moisture content control, film thickness, and drum rotation speed varies greatly, generally in the range of 50~2000kg/h.
6. The heating medium is simple, commonly used saturated water vapor, the pressure range is 2~6kgf/c㎡ (120~150°C), rarely more than 8kgf/c㎡. For some materials that need to be dried at low temperature, hot water can be used as a heat medium; for materials to be dried at a higher temperature, hot oil or high-boiling organic matter can also be used as a heat medium. Superheated steam and flue gas are generally not used.
